Tacoma 265 75r16 no lift
P265/70R16 vs LT265/75R16. Hey, I own a 2010 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab TRD Offroad 4x4 and just installed a 3" lift kit on the front of my truck and a 1.5" lift on the back... my question is concerning tires and what size will fit!!! The stock tires on my truck are the P265/70R16 BFGoodrich Rugged Trail T/A and I wanted to step up to the LT265 ...No Lift Kit. Max tire sizes are: 15″ rims: 265/75 R15 – A 265/80 R15 tire would fit just fine, but no one makes one to our knowledge. 265/75 R15 is the largest available size. 16″ rims: 265/75 R16 – one inch taller but same width as factory. 17″ rims: 265/70 R17 – one inch taller but same width as factory.I didn't realize a 3" lift was enough to lift the truck clear of the tire or prevent the tire from rising into the wheel well during suspension flex. If the 265-75-16 rubs slightly without a lift, then chances are it'll still rub WITH a lift when driving over rocks, bumps, etc unless some of the plastic is cut away.
